Freelance writer and graphic designer in rural northern Maryland.  As a graphic designer I focus on high end, full color work including promotional materials, logos and  book and magazine covers. Recently I’ve entered the e-book cover field and have begun designing customized headers for blogs and Facebook timelines. In the writing category I report on local and regional cultural, historic and travel stories for Mason-Dixon ARRIVE Magazine, and I write longer fictional pieces for a publisher to be determined later. Check out my sister blog “ritaLOVEStoWRITE” for a sampling of my prose.  I also enjoy working with community organizations and churches to bring their communications to a higher standard. As an advocate for the ARTS, one of my biggest passions is helping young people find a voice in all the performing arts. To that end it has been my honor to give one on one lessons to high school students in graphic design.

I didn’t know you had this one! Nice!

Hello Rita, I’m not sure if this is the place to ask to use your work. I am doing an anthropology assignment which will only be seen by my tutor, one person. I would like to use some of your silhouettes of characters from Pride and Prejudice. May I do this? If you need more information, please let me know here or by my email. Thanks! (Fingers crossed.)

Sorry it took so long to get back. I’ve been away from this site for a while. YES. You may use the silhouettes for that purpose. Good luck.

Thanks for getting back, Rita. I found some other images in the public commons to use, but keep up the good design work!

I had trouble using the links in your message to reply so I’m not sure if the problem is at my end or yours (or even if this message will reach you.)
